You should also find a contractor who has the equipment and training to handle any eventuality that may arise during the installation. For example, some people in older homes still have asbestos inside of their home. This is reasonably safe if the asbestos isn't disturbed. The problem is that when a door is a little too wide, a contractor will generally cut into the wall a bit to make room before putting a new frame on. If your contractor is not licensed to deal with asbestos, then he or she won't be able to cut into the wall and therefore will be unable to install your doors for you.
