The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has begun to consider the interconnection and net-metering standards contained in Sections 1254 and 1251 of the federal Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct 2005), and it is currently seeking comment on these standards. Based on input collected, an official record will be developed for the TVA Board to review before making the required determinations regarding the standards. TVA will hold a series of open houses at locations in multiple states across the Tennessee Valley to allow interested parties to learn about and comment on the new standards. Upcoming meetings will be held October 12, 2006, in Holly Springs, Mississippi, and October 18, 2006, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Details on these meetings, future announcements of additional meetings, and other relevant information are available at www.tva.gov/purpa.
Public comments may be submitted on-line at www.tva.gov/purpa/comments.htm, submitted at public open houses, e-mailed to purpa@tva.gov, or mailed to the address listed at www.tva.gov/purpa. The deadline for comment submission is March 1, 2007.
