Dona Stankus, Building Programs Manager and registered architect of the North Carolina Solar Center at NC State University has been elected to a second term as Chair of the NC Triangle Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and re-elected to the board of directors of the Sustainable Buildings Industry Council (SBIC).
The USGBC is a non-profit organization that envisions a healthy future through the promotion and application of sustainable strategies to the built environment. There are 70 Regional Chapters nationwide.
As the Chair of the Triangle USGBC, Stankus’s duties include recruiting new members and sponsors, speaking at various events, working with the organization towards a shared vision, and overseeing personnel and finances.
